Join us for a community walk to help protect Arthurs Seat State Park — one of Victoria’s most iconic public landscapes.
“Walk for Wonga” is a peaceful show of support for the park, which is under threat from a proposed rollercoaster-style luge down the north face of the escarpment.
Choose your walk:
1. Hard (30 mins)
Direct climb up the north escarpment beneath the gondola
Start: Bottom station of Arthurs Seat Eagle (1085 Arthurs Seat Rd)
2. Moderate (45 mins)
Two Bays Trail to Seawinds (2.1km), then across to the summit
Start: Latrobe Parade Carpark (corner Latrobe Parade & Bunurong Track)
Picnic at the Summit – from 11am
Join us at the public BBQ shelters for a relaxed community gathering.

Save our Seat Fundraiser - Pig and Whistle
SAVE our SEAT presents Songs for the Seat, a fundraiser to raise crucial funds in the fight against the controversial Gondola development proposal at Arthurs Seat. We’re thrilled to have incredible artists: Mick Thomas, Rebecca Barnard, The Earth Worms, The Bloody Norahs and Evie Ward, with MC's Sally Bailleau and Charlie Owen. A day full of music, art, and community spirit. Let’s unite for this important cause, and show our support for preserving the beauty and integrity of the Seat. It’s an afternoon of great tunes, good vibes, and standing up for what matters—together, we can make a difference!
Save our Seat Info Session
At this information session, Save our Seat will have PLANS - obtained from Minister for Planning, people to answer questions about flora & fauna, bushfire and local amenity.
The event will be MC’d by award winning broadcaster and journalist, Tracee Hutchison.
